Deze uitspraak van Francis Scott Fitzgerald inspireerde sommelier Danny Gonzalez om zijn restaurant naar de schrijver te vernoemen. Het typeert ook zijn zaak. Men krijgt maar niet genoeg van zijn gedurfde wijnassociaties. Het glas is hier even opmerkelijk als het bord.

Remco Kuijpers geeft graag moderne, bij momenten verrassende twists aan zijn gerechten. Met kalfszwezeriken gaat hij bijvoorbeeld de fruitige toer op door er abrikozen bij te serveren. En de wijn? Die heeft body en tilt het gerecht helemaal op.

Fitzgerald heeft allure. Dat geldt ook voor het decor. Italiaans marmer dat verenigd wordt met design- en vintage-elementen, de grote glasramen, de mooie binnentuin,… Een bruisend restaurant!

This expression by F Scott Fitzgerald inspired Danny Gonzalez to name his restaurant after the author and highlight his love for wine, resulting in bold and excellent wine pairings which are as striking as the dishes they complement.

Remco Kuijpers likes to introduce contemporary and sometimes surprising twists to his dishes, such as the sweet flavour of apricots, added tot his veal sweetbreads. These are further enhanced by the excellent wines that are the complement to each dish. The use of Italian marble combined with design and vintage features, large windows and a beautifully enclosed garden all lend this vibrant restaurant a special allure.
